For starters, I’m a New Hampshire licensed psychologist. I spent my pre and postdoctoral years at Riverbend Community Mental Health Center in their family, adult outpatient, and emergency services departments. In 1996, I started to work in private practice serving both children and adults.
Over the years, I have worked with a range of people from all age groups. Each person or family has sought help adjusting to the challenges they are facing, from mild to very challenging. Assessment (for the source of learning difficulties, for clinical treatment recommendations and for career and role fit) has always been part of my practice.
Personally and professionally, I’ve always taken an integrated approach to wellness. Which is to say, I believe the mind-body connection is very strong and that it’s impossible for the mind to function optimally (both in terms of mood and thinking) without the body being cared for as well. This belief tends to influence my work greatly and I will gladly try to help anyone on their journey toward greater self-care.
